About Ian:
Young Sparky was the other half, alongside McTavish Dear, of Spiderbaby, a splendid duo who graced our open mic nights at the turn of the century.
We managed to entice him into the back of the car and carry him off with his bass guitar to a couple of gigs, but then the experience of serving in the Root Chords Ceilidh Band at a wedding reception was enough to convince him his future lay elsewhere.
We still see him and trust that one day he'll understand
the true joys of stripping the willow. |
